A co-worker is leaving the states and returning to Puerto Rico. I used the butterflies to represent freedom - in her case from an abusive situation. I wish her well. She deserves to be happy. We will all miss her.

Makeover
A Little Twist
My husband's cousin went camping with us last summer. I took her picture and agreed to "touch it up" for her. I forgot about that agreement until this morning as I searched camping photos for another project. I'm happy with the results and want to share them.

Good Luck Baby Doll
Brianna starts school tomorrow, but without her brother by her side. She will be also be riding the bus for the first time. So I want to surprise her tomorrow with a card in her backpack. She's growing up and becoming more and more independent, but still very dependent. She's still our Baby Doll!
Supplies used: Stampin' Up and Cricut.

Card Club Thanks
A card for my Card Club's instructor Jen Blank. Visit her website http://papergator.stampinup.net/
I haven't posted in a while. I've been in a creative slump. But after our Card Club meeting last night and receiving some new stuff from Stampin' Up, I found the energy to create this card for Jen. She does an amazing job being prepared at every meeting and providing easy and fun new techniques to the class.
Thanks Jen for your time. Seriously. You're amazing.

Just A Note Card
My BFF Kimmy has had a successful week as guest designer on Peachy Keen Stamps! I'm so proud of her focus and determination. She can do whatever she puts to mind. I made this card to express my appreciation for all her support with my paper crafting, blogging, and life's little details. She's a wonderful friend that makes my day brighter every time I get the opportunity to pin her down long enough to have a conversation. LOL!

Thank You Cards
My husband planned for 3 months and successfully gave me a surprise 50th birthday party. My guests included old childhood and present friends, classmates from high school and college, a former supervisor, past and present co-workers, and of course family. I have created a thank you card using a stamp of a hydrangea because that was the flower used as centerpieces on the tables. The color of the flower on the card is the same color of the hydrangea and were absolutely gorgeous! They were called antique hydrangea. The beautiful pale olive green was speckled with small maroon spots. I've never seen one like it. Again, absolutely gorgeous !
As for my design, it was my intent to keep it classically simple. I didn't want to take away from the purpose of the card - to Thank all my guests for making my 50th a memorable day.

Friend Birthday Card
My husband's secretary helped him pull off a surprise birthday party for me last Saturday. I didn't know her birthday was 4 days after mine. Ahead of all my thank you cards to my party guests, is a belated birthday card. Susan not only helped plan and organize my 50th bday party, but worked to keep the food table fully stocked for the 35 guests that attended. I can never repay her for everything she did for me. Making a card is the least I could do!

Baseball Birthday Card
Today is my son's 11th birthday. That's really inconceivable. I'm just saying. Wow. Here's my card for my baseball crazy son. He's not alone though...we all love baseball. He'll get the card when he comes home from school, and then get cupcakes after, you know, baseball practice!

Bird Card in Cream & Green
I woke up at 3:00AM this morning. I got out of bed at 3:45AM when I was still wide awake. I did what things I would do every morning before work, and was ready early. I really love the Cricut Solutions Home Accent Cartridge and wanted to use an embossing folder. So I picked out a favorite - a bird - from both and paper that would compliment them. Here's what I came up with in 30 minutes.

Happy Birthday Card for Boss
So, when it's your boss' birthday and you need to keep it professionally courteous, what would you do? Let me put it another way: if he wasn't your boss and you wouldn't give him a card for his birthday but because he is your boss you have to, NOW what would you do? This is what I did: I made a card for everyone to sign! Chances are my co-workers feel the same way I do. LOL

I saw on someone's blog a black, white, and grey challenge. Even though I don't remember where I saw it, I'm just going to post my card.

A Little Challenge with my BFF!
I entered this card in Always Crafting's Whimsical Wednesday Challenge on 2/16. The color challenge is from a picture she has posted on her blogsite. It has the colors I used for this card. Check it out.
Get Well
When I started making cards, my husband was in need of a Get Well Card.
My husband got better, and I added his card to my gallery! LOL Kimbo

For a Hospitalized Friend
A dear friend of mine suffered a brain aneurysm last week and is still hospitalized. I made this card with a design I know she'll appreciate because she loves canaries, and I love birds. I didn't make it a get well card because it just didn't seem appropriate. I made a thinking of you card and wished her encouragement and wrote her a poem.
Please pray for my friend. She actually is more than a friend, I was engaged to her son when he died in an automobile accident in 1990. She's still my Mom Dunn.

My First Post
Hello, and welcome to my blog. I love to craft, and right now I'm paper-crafting. Although this isn't the first card I have ever made it is my first posted card. Tell me what you think. I'd love your feedback and constructive criticism. If I inspire you, I'd like to know it and see your work too. Thanks for viewing my blog. We'll blog later. Kimbo
