I haven't posted in a while. I've been in a creative slump. But after our Card Club meeting last night and receiving some new stuff from Stampin' Up, I found the energy to create this card for Jen. She does an amazing job being prepared at every meeting and providing easy and fun new techniques to the class.

I'm so proud of her focus and determination. She can do whatever she puts to mind. I made this card to express my appreciation for all her support with my paper crafting, blogging, and life's little details. She's a wonderful friend that makes my day brighter every time I get the opportunity to pin her down long enough to have a conversation. LOL!
My guests included old childhood and present friends, classmates from high school and college, a former supervisor, past and present co-workers, and of course family. I have created a thank you card using a stamp of a hydrangea because that was the flower used as centerpieces on the tables. The color of the flower on the card is the same color of the hydrangea and were absolutely gorgeous! They were called antique hydrangea. The beautiful pale olive green was speckled with small maroon spots. I've never seen one like it. Again, absolutely gorgeous !

As for my design, it was my intent to keep it classically simple. I didn't want to take away from the purpose of the card - to Thank all my guests for making my 50th a memorable day.
I didn't know her birthday was 4 days after mine. Ahead of all my thank you cards to my party guests, is a belated birthday card. Susan not only helped plan and organize my 50th bday party, but worked to keep the food table fully stocked for the 35 guests that attended. I can never repay her for everything she did for me. Making a card is the least I could do!
That's really inconceivable. I'm just saying. Wow. Here's my card for my baseball crazy son. He's not alone though...we all love baseball. He'll get the card when he comes home from school, and then get cupcakes after, you know, baseball practice!
I got out of bed at 3:45AM when I was still wide awake. I did what things I would do every morning before work, and was ready early. I really love the Cricut Solutions Home Accent Cartridge and wanted to use an embossing folder. So I picked out a favorite - a bird - from both and paper that would compliment them. Here's what I came up with in 30 minutes.
Let me put it another way: if he wasn't your boss and you wouldn't give him a card for his birthday but because he is your boss you have to, NOW what would you do? This is what I did: I made a card for everyone to sign! Chances are my co-workers feel the same way I do. LOL
I made this card with a design I know she'll appreciate because she loves canaries, and I love birds. I didn't make it a get well card because it just didn't seem appropriate. I made a thinking of you card and wished her encouragement and wrote her a poem.
I love to craft, and right now I'm paper-crafting. Although this isn't the first card I have ever made it is my first posted card. Tell me what you think. I'd love your feedback and constructive criticism. If I inspire you, I'd like to know it and see your work too. Thanks for viewing my blog. We'll blog later. Kimbo
